This past wednesday, in our Foundations of Sustainable Design, we discussed our games on literally THE
"Foundations" of Sustainable Design. Our simple game had evolved over three conceptual ideas and was finally a perfect confluence of all that we had studied in our readings and all the studies we did on site.
So, lets get you acquainted with the game by explaining to you, the rules.
Before the game begins, the player shuffle the sites and place them on the board in an arbitrary order starting from to 1 to 5.
1. Every player commences the game from the start position.
2. In order for you to move, each player needs to throw an even no.
3. On throwing an even no. you get to the first site on the game board. On reaching the site you are asked a question, specific to that site. If answered correctly, on their next turn the player is allowed to roll the dice and move forward. If not, then he stays on the site till he gets the right answer.
4.On rolling the dice after getting the correct answer, if the no. of the dice is 1, the player takes the shortcut, if not 1 then he follows the path of the board. The same rules for the questions apply.
5.During the course of the game, every player may encounter a purple spot on the board. These purple spots are game changers. They can either take you forward or backward depending on card the player picks.
6. On answering all the questions correctly and all the luck that the game has to spare, the player who makes it to the end wins.
My team and I enjoyed creating the game. I hope you do too as you play it!
Thank you :)
